The establishment
Stayed in one of the little chalets and it was great. Campsite was good and was run by Sylvie who kept the place looking great. I really liked the fact that World Cup Rugby was shown on a big screen and beers and wine and platters of local meats and cheese were sold at a good price. Nice walks from the campsite to the castle in Vallon Pont D’Arc! Had a great holiday!

The site was beautiful, well serviced and maintained. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The region was excellent (we were caving), a trip to remember!

Hut was spacious and clean with everything we needed for the week. The view of the gorge was perfect.
Just the memory foam mattresses. Not good for a bad back.

The establishment
The campsite was away from the Route des Gorges and there were plenty of shady sites. The owner was really friendly and helpful and was also able to book a canoe trip down the Ardeche. She was able to provide information about the local area. The site had a small cafe/snack bar on site providing a good choice of well priced food and drinks. The pool was lovely and refreshing and the facilities mostly clean and plentiful. The water in the showers was hot. We would recommend as a place to stay in the Ardeche as long as you don't mind some general night time noise and a fairly busy summer season
The campsite itself was quiet but the Route des Gorges has many large campsites located on its length and these tended to play loud music most nights. Most of the time it did stop by 11.30pm but it ruined the general tranquility offered at Le Vieux Vallon. On some nights the campsite itself was noisy was past 11.30pm but this was due to other campers, not the actual campsite itself. It was also high season. There was little wrong about the campsite per se, but we would likely not stay there again as we prefer much smaller sites in less touristy areas.

Shady pitch and at the quieter end of the site.
Our site (no 32) was very shady but it was located up some steep wooden steps which made it tricky to take all of our camping equipment up and down.

Les visites sur la préhistoire sont à ne pas rater.
Le parking payant pour adimirer le pont d arc et qui ne laisse pas un véhicule avec coffre de toit se garer. Lamentable pour un site classé.

Mauvais choix de ma part pour le chalet nous avons loué un chalet pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 4personnes du coup pas d'espace salon, je ferais attention la prochaine fois mais pour une famille c'est très bien surtout l'été où l'on est dehors en permanence , il y a une terrasse avec table pour prendre ses repas Nickel

Le camping est a taille humaine ce qui facilite la rapidité des contacts avec la direction. Pas de vis à vis direct. La piscine et ses abords sont impeccables. Le choix de la végétation paysagère est soignées. des plantes

La vue pleine nature, du chalet prenium est remarquable. La tranquillité du Chalet et la verdure qui l'entoure. La grande terrasse avec une grande table. Les chaises transat sont des atouts non négligables. A l'intérieur, la salle de bain avec douche assez grande ( même pour de grands gabarits ) Les wc séparés. sont vraiment un plus. Les accès de nuit au chalet ont de balise s'allument et d'éteignent automatiquement au passe.
Nous étions 4 et le frigo est vraiment petit. Un peu plus de vaisselle ne serait pas du luxe. Peu de prises. Le wifi "du camping" est inaccessible ce qui est un problème pour réserver des activités et visites puisque tout s'effectue en ligne. Un four autre qu'au micro onde manque pour réchauffer les plats locaux.

une mention très bien pour les douches relaxantes bien chaudes après la descente des gorges de l'Ardèche.

Très jolie cabane, bien aménagée avec rangements en hauteur astucieux. Simple et efficace, j'adore!
Espace très exigu autour du lit adulte. Je n'avais pas fait attention qu'il s'agissait de 2 lits de 90! (pour le drap housse). Un lit de 140 offrirait plus de place autour. La surprise d'une première nuit ventée qui fait chuter des glands sur le toit (avant de voir l'arbre au matin, j'aurai plutôt pensé à des pommes de pin vu le bruit de l'impact sur le toit en taule)
