Scenic and very well maintained by the team. Very friendly hosts. Great value cabins.
Insect nets at windows as cabins get very hot due to no insulation but if windows open mosquitos get in. A/C would be nice or at least a fan.

The establishment
Stayed in one of the little chalets and it was great. Campsite was good and was run by Sylvie who kept the place looking great. I really liked the fact that World Cup Rugby was shown on a big screen and beers and wine and platters of local meats and cheese were sold at a good price. Nice walks from the campsite to the castle in Vallon Pont D’Arc! Had a great holiday!

The site was beautiful, well serviced and maintained. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The region was excellent (we were caving), a trip to remember!

Hut was spacious and clean with everything we needed for the week. The view of the gorge was perfect.
Just the memory foam mattresses. Not good for a bad back.

The establishment
The campsite was away from the Route des Gorges and there were plenty of shady sites. The owner was really friendly and helpful and was also able to book a canoe trip down the Ardeche. She was able to provide information about the local area. The site had a small cafe/snack bar on site providing a good choice of well priced food and drinks. The pool was lovely and refreshing and the facilities mostly clean and plentiful. The water in the showers was hot. We would recommend as a place to stay in the Ardeche as long as you don't mind some general night time noise and a fairly busy summer season
The campsite itself was quiet but the Route des Gorges has many large campsites located on its length and these tended to play loud music most nights. Most of the time it did stop by 11.30pm but it ruined the general tranquility offered at Le Vieux Vallon. On some nights the campsite itself was noisy was past 11.30pm but this was due to other campers, not the actual campsite itself. It was also high season. There was little wrong about the campsite per se, but we would likely not stay there again as we prefer much smaller sites in less touristy areas.

Shady pitch and at the quieter end of the site.
Our site (no 32) was very shady but it was located up some steep wooden steps which made it tricky to take all of our camping equipment up and down.

The establishment
An oasis of calm and relaxation. The owners as always are super helpful , nothing is too much trouble and they are always on call if required. It is ideally placed for a short walk into Vallon 10 mins. It is halfway up the hillside with outstanding views. A site BBQ for all to use a stunning view while cooking. Sylvie and her team are the hardest working we’ve met. The pool is beautiful and perfectly situated for the afternoon/ evening sun. The little poolside bar has all you need at a good price. We will definitely return.

This year we had pitch 7 with stunning views. Even when busy it is not busy or intrusive. You can hear the noisy campsites in the valley by the river but I is not loud and stops at 10. 👍

Der Platz liegt sehr schön und ruhig etwas erhöht am Berg, eingebettet in die südfranzösische Landschaft. Von der Veranda der Hütten hat man einen Panoramablick ins idylische Tal der Ibie, die in jedem Fall auch einen Besuch lohnt. Hervorzuheben ist unbedingt auch die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Mitarbeiter.
Ein paar lose Griffe und Halter. Solche Dinge könnten problemlos instandgesetzt werden. Allerdings sollen einige der älteren Hütten Ende des Jahres ausgetauscht werden.

Kleine gemütliche Hütte / Chalet. Mir oben erwähnter ruhiger und idyllischer Lage im Grünen. Trotz des aktuellen Alters noch gut in Schuss und sauber. Das Platzangebot ist für 2 Personen ok. Für 4 dürfte es schon ziemlich eng werden. Aber dieses Thema kennt ja jeder, der schon einmal in einem Mobilhome, einer Hütte oder generell Camping-Urlaub gemacht hat. In dem Zusammenhang wäre allerdings auch ein Grundrißplan im Internet hilfreich.
Ein paar lose Griffe, Halter, Antennenstecker. Sowie ein schwergängiger Wasserhahn im Bad. Dinge die problemlos instandgesetzt werden könnten. Aber hier steht ja auch ein Komplettaustausch gegen neuere Modelle bevor. Versorgung mit WLAN auf dem Platz wäre wünschenswert.

Il s'agissait de notre 3ème séjour au Vieux Vallon et toujours comblés grâce à l'attention de Sylvie qui avait préparé notre arrivée tardive en soirée ! Cet établissement est très bien entretenu, agréable à l'écart de l'agitation et bien situé à deux pas du centre ville et des diverses activités! Merci à toute l'équipe !

C’est réposant, zei de eigenaresse van de camping toen ik in de zon van het uitzicht zat te genieten. Precies dat. Alsof alles even op pauze staat. Een kleine camping vol rustige chillers midden in de ardeche. Lekker wandelen, jeu de boulen, marktje doen of ijsje doen. Als je zelf je eigen animatie bent, heb je hier een prima plek.
Nu t wat vroeger donker wordt, is de automatische licht-uitknop na 5 minuten best lastig bij het douchen. En met een heeeele grote caravan kom je misschien iets minder makkelijk boven, maar dat is niet op onz weigen ervaring gebaseerd. Met onze vouwwagen ging t prima. En dat gold ook voor de campers en voor de jaren ‘50 peugeot.

Die Stellplätze sind ausreichend groß, meistens durch Bäume oder Buschwerk voneinander abgetrennt, was Sichtschutz bietet und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre schafft. Mit Aussicht ins Tal kann man sich dort gut erholen. Saubere Sanitär Anlagen, nette Gäste.
Seifenspender, Desinfektionsmittelspender auf den Toiletten und an den Waschbecken könnten regelmäßiger befüllt werden, die waren während dem gesamten Aufenthalt leer.
