Paying extra for internet and for better/shady pitches. Pitches are not very private...a lot of dead or thin hedgerow instead of an evergreen laurel hedge.

Dear Robert, Thank you for highlighting the friendliness of our staff and the quality of our riverside pitches. We would like to clarify that you originally booked a standard "Confort" pitch near the pool. Due to the intense summer heatwave, you requested a change upon arrival. To ensure your comfort, we personally showed you several options, and you chose to move to a large, highly sought-after shade pitch by the river. This specific category features a standard premium, which was fully explained upfront and settled prior to your departure. Regarding the vegetation, our trees and hedges suffered from severe hydrological stress due to the exceptional drought this summer. This natural phenomenon, combined with the unfortunate habit of some guests stepping through the bushes, temporarily thinned the hedges. As an eco-responsible campsite, we work with nature's cycle rather than relying on artificial evergreen laurel screens. Lastly, in line with modern connectivity, our rates are tailored so that guests using 4G/5G do not pay for services they do not need, leaving the high-speed Wi-Fi network as an optional extra clearly stated on our website. We did our utmost to accommodate your preferences during this heatwave and regret that our 3-star nature campsite did not fully meet your expectations. Safe travels, Hélène & Pierre

The hosts were very helpful. The pitches were beautifully laid out. The privacy was perfect. The site was spotless!
There is little (if any) 5G on site.mit would be nice if the (existing) Wi-Fi was made available to all without additional charges.

Lovely owners were very easy going, laid on entertainment in the evening and provided children’s archery. There is a very nice vibe to this campsite. Also, Campsite is in a great location within an easy walk to Artemare. Lots of cycling and hiking opportunities close by with some stunning scenery. Swimming pool was very clean with excellent water quality.
Very little can be done to improve as everything is well maintained and clean.

The campsite was in walking distance of a waterfall and a 10 minute drive to a swimming lake. Everything was very clean and the pool was lovely to cool off in as it was hot throughout our stay.

Excellent campsite in a beautiful location. The campsite is lovely, quiet and relaxing. The pool is small, but perfect for a cool down dip on warm days. The team on the site are super helpful and very friendly. Camp shop has some local beers and wines available. Shower and toilet blocks were always clean and available with no queues or waits. The location is beautiful, surrounded by woodland and wildlife with the only noise being a passing stream and the spectacular cascades, just visible from the campsite.

One of the best pitches I have stayed at, private thanks to well maintained dividing hedges. The storage shed was incredibly useful and it was perfect having a fridge as well as private sun loungers to use.

We zijn erg blij dat u heeft genoten van onze schone sanitaire voorzieningen, het verse brood in de ochtend en de rust op onze camping. Wat betreft de kinderanimatie: wij kiezen er bewust voor om de rust en de natuur centraal te stellen. Daarom hebben wij geen kinderclub (zoals ook vermeld op onze website). Wel organiseren wij in het hoogseizoen (laatste week van juli en eerste week van augustus) elke avond kleine, gezellige en gemoedelijke familie-activiteiten. De eigenaars doen werkelijk alles om uw verblijf tot een succes te maken. Er is elke dag wel iets te doen. Een zwembad zorgt voor aangenaam e verkoeling en de omgeving is prachtig!

De campingplaatsen zijn ruim, en elektriciteit bij elke plaats. Water is altijd dichtbij. Bijzonder is het riviertje achter de camping.

Uw deelname en positieve uitstraling hebben zeker bijgedragen aan de fijne sfeer op Camping Le Vaugrais. Hartelijk dank ook voor uw opmerking over een campingwinkeltje. Wij hebben er bewust voor gekozen om geen campingwinkel aan te bieden, omdat er op slechts 800 meter van de camping een Carrefour Contact ligt, die elke dag geopend is. Onze gasten kunnen daar gemakkelijk dagelijks boodschappen doen en alles vinden wat ze nodig hebben. Daarnaast biedt onze snackbar verschillende gerechten aan, die u ter plaatse kunt nuttigen of kunt meenemen. Wij hopen u in de toekomst opnieuw te mogen verwelkomen op Camping Le Vaugrais, voor nog meer gezellige momenten en mooie ontdekkingen in onze prachtige streek.
